Organizing albums and folders
For every new album you want to design you have to select the menu option Album - Select and preferences - Select and then use the Create option to create a new folder on your disk like
C:\albums\Susan Wedding automatically a subfolder called Pictures is also created C:\albums\Susan Wedding\Pictures Then you have to select the option Album - Import pictures and select the source folder of your picture files, this files will be copied to the Pictures subfolder and thumbnails created to display them in the Album DS application. This way you are able to mantain many album designs in your disk and work in one or the other by simply selecting the folder at Album - Select and preferences - Select. The album pages are saved to the main folder of your project ( C:\albums\Susan Wedding i.e.), also a jpg copy is saved there and a thumbnail at C:\albums\Susan Wedding\Thumbs. After generating the album the definitive pages are saved to the Album subfolder of your project, like: C:\albums\Susan Wedding\Album This are the files you have to send to your laboratory to print and bind. If you optionally create a web page with the menu option Album - Create web page ( after generating the album) the web page files are saved to: C:\albums\Susan Wedding\Web If you want to make a backup of your work you only have to save following folders: C:\albums\Susan Wedding C:\albums\Susan Wedding\Thumbs C:\albums\Susan Wedding\Pictures and optionally C:\albums\Susan Wedding\Pictures\Deleted the other folders will be created after generating the album or web page.
